 | Iris Diaphragms: Pin-actuated iris diaphragms provide a continuously variable field stop for controlling the f-number of an optical system or for adjusting the diameter of a beam. Moving the pin through a 90-degree motion fully opens (or closes) the iris. The leaf profile is carefully chosen to closely approximate a circular aperture throughout the diameter range of each iris. |
